The provision of municipal police services is overseen by the Ontario Provincial Police – Superior East.

The OPP Superior East Detachment operates during standard business hours and is dispatched from the Provincial Communications Centre in North Bay during evenings and weekends.

The Township of Dubreuilville operates a volunteer fire department which is responsible for fire prevention and administration of the Ontario Fire Code within the municipal boundaries. It provides fire safety and prevention education.

In 2022, the Township of Dubreuilville welcomed a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer to their team. This individual is responsible for addressing complaints, investigating possible by-law violations, ensuring compliance with Township regulations and applicable Provincial Acts, as well as enforcing the Ontario Building Code Act.

Matters Pertaining to Municipal Offenses

Furthermore, the Township has established an Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) in accordance with the Municipal Act.  Please refer to the attached document labeled By-Law No. 2023-36 AMPS By-Law.

The Township of Dubreuilville falls under the Provincial Offences Administration in the City of Sault Ste Marie. The Provincial Offences Office in the city of Sault Ste Marie provides support and administration services on behalf of regional municipal partners (Algoma District) and the Province of Ontario.

Accepts payments for common fines issued such as speeding tickets, liquor tickets, insurance fines, hunting and fishing fines as well as several other offences under the Provincial Offences Act.
